Hey, loves. I hope you’re having an awesome day. Â I was a little hesitant about writing this post, but I figured it could help someone. Â This week (Monday) my life was turned upside down (not in a bad way). Â I was asked to make a huge life changing decision that could affect my career. While my decision hasn’t been made just yet; I wanted to share some tips that I am using to help me make this choice.
When facing life decisions the first thing I always do is pray. Â I know this sounds like the most common and basic answer, because it is. Â I’m a firm believer in the power of prayer. Â I pray for discernment and the ability to make clear decisions. Â I pray to hear from God, and that he orders my steps. Â I also pray for the courage and strength the deal with the consequences of my decision making.
After praying, I like to make a list. Â Making a list of pros and cons, or questions and concerns helps me to make a clearer decision. Â I’m finding that my list is really helpful right now. Â For my current situation, my list isn’t really about the pros and cons, but more about the questions that I have. Â I’ve come up with this list to present my questions in hopes that the answers will make my decision easier.
Ask for advise from people you value. Â Ultimately, the decisions that we make have to be made by ourselves, but it’s great to get some insightful information from other people. Â I’m actually finding that the advice that I’m getting is really helpful. Â Some of the advice that I’ve received this week has allowed me to see things in a different perspective, and also consider asking questions that I hadn’t thought of previously.
Be confident in your decision. Â This is where I’m struggling. Â I haven’t made my decision just yet, because I’m honestly not confident in the end result. Â I’m still uncertain about a lot of things (which is why I have a list of questions), which is why it’s a little difficult to make my final decision. Â I believe that we should be completely confident in our choices, especially when they can alter our entire life. Â We have to know that we are making the best decisions for our lives (and families), and not second guess those actions. Â When we are completely confident in our choices, others will be confident in them as well.
Well I hope these are helpful for you. Â I’m still making my decision, and trying to use my own tips. Â I’ll continue to keep y’all posted on my final decision.
