Hey, loves. Â The weekend has commenced, and I’m still trying to pick my face up off the ground (jk). Â Rihanna blessed us over the weekend with her long awaited makeup collection ‘Fenty Beauty’ and she literally broke the internet. Â If I could tell you one thing about myself, it’s that I’m obsessed with Robyn Fenty. Â I’ve been a fan since her Pon de Replay days. Â She could sell anything and I’d probably purchase it. Â I managed to get ahold of some of her collection (everything I wanted), and I wanted to share my thoughts. I purchased the primer, killawatt highlighter in Mean Money & Hu$tla Baby, and the lipgloss. Â I knew exactly what I wanted when I saw the preview. The first thing I always notice is packaging, and I will tell you that Rihanna didn’t take shortcuts with the packaging. Every single product is beyond gorgeous, and I would honestly give Fenty Beauty an A+ on that alone, but let’s get into the actual products.
I was the most intrigued by the primer, because I love to shop for different primers. The primer has a matte finish, which I love. Â It’s great for oily skin. Â I like that the consistency isn’t too thick, and that the product does a great job of helping your makeup stay in place. Â I’ve used the primer for a few days now, and although I won’t be replacing my holygrail primer (Smashbox Photo Finish), I will say that this is a great substitute. Â I love how much thought she put into the collection to include a primer, because we all know that makeup rule #1 is to always wear primer.
I was a little hesitant to try the highlighters, because I wasn’t interested in the most popular color (Trophy Wife). Â I knew the color wouldn’t work for me, but I hadn’t really heard about the other highlighters. Â I decided to stick to my comfort zone and get Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby. Â The colors looked like my kind of highlighters, and I had feeling that I would love them. Â Well, my feeling was right, because I love the duo. Â I’m picky when it comes to highlighters, and the Killawatt did not disappoint. Â It’s the perfect color and has the right amount of glow that’s not too overwhelming. Â I can definitely see myself hitting pan on this.
Â
The last item that I purchased was the gloss bomb. Â Have you ever purchased a makeup item and knew that it would be great before you even swatched or used it? Well, that’s how I felt about the gloss bomb. I’m a lipgloss kind of girl, so I knew this was going to be the perfect item for me. Â I love the packaging, and it’s perfect to throw in my purse. Â The gloss bomb is the perfect nude for any complexion. Â It has a hint of shimmer, that’s not too overwhelming or chunky, and also has a fruity scent. Â The gloss bomb is probably my favorite item that I purchased from the collection, because it’s the item that I can see myself repurchasing multiple times. Â I love the pigment of the gloss, and that it’s not super sticky. Â I’ve seen a lot of reviews on the Fenty Beauty Collection, and most people love the gloss bomb. This just might be my holygrail gloss.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Fenty Beauty Collection. Â I think Rihanna did an awesome job, and really did her research. Â One item that I would like to try in the future is the foundation. Â I’ve heard nothing but great things, and it comes in every shade (literally 40 different shades…yaasssss). Once I get my hands on the foundation I’ll be sure to review it for you all. Â If you’ve considered purchasing anything from the collection, I’d definitely recommend it. Â You won’t regret it. Well I hope you all have an amazing week and weekend.
